Seriously, this was how he found the room when he stepped across the threshold.
Husband was amused. I worried who else this companion may have shared a bed with before he arrived. Was it a free gift for all guests, or just Husband's to bring back after their weekend snuggle? Husband said there was no price, and the mini bar list included Orangina, but not a teddy. This made me feel a bit better. There is nothing sadder than a hotel pimping teddy bears out to lonely business travelers.
That's kind of sweet.
ReplyDeleteI think so, too, although I am a little jealous that Husband will be cuddling with another furry creature this weekend, and Theo is jealous that I am jealous of another bear. Such a tangled mess! :)
ReplyDeletei brought pete, the monkey, on my trips to europe & elsewhere. in vienna, i found him tucked in under the down comforter when we returned to the hotel. other places, when i left him in the room, did similar things. that was when i was in college; he came with me last year to london too.
ReplyDeleteat least j won't get too lonely in that big ol' bed.
We will hopefully alleviate some of husband's loneliness tomorrow when he comes over for lunch and to watch the boat race. It will be nice to see him but he is no substitute for you!
ReplyDeleteI almost worked out a way to come, but while the flight price was right, the return timing was horrid. Plus I have more work this weekend than I can ever hope to accomplish. And I'm fucking sick again, which is sucking and would have been miserable to fly with, so I am feeling less bad that I didn't make it this time. So... next time!!! I really want to see you!
ReplyDeleteI think Husband should call the front desk and ask if the bear is complimentary. Either that or he should just steal the bathrobe for Theo leaving a naked, nameless bear on the bed:)
