Theodore Roosevelt Reisman is a companion polar bear and has lived with Suzanne for approximately 20 years. His opposition to drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and concern for wild polar bears partly stems from learning about the conservation efforts of his namesake, Pres. Theodore Roosevelt. Theo is also a former model, and loves travel, even if it is in Suzanne's suitcase.

ReplyDeleteI've really gotten a kick out of the way the GOP is really channeling Teddy Roosevelt at this convention, as though they are like them. Teddy Roosevelt, the original conservationists, Teddy Roosevelt, the Big Business monopoly buster. Teddy Roosevelt, who rode down to Cuba with the Rough Riders rather than sending other people to fight wars he started. Oh yes, they are just like Teddy.

ReplyDeleteHa ha! I think you might be! What on earth triggered that resemblance? Although now that you've mentioned it, I probably will not look at her without thinking about how she looks like Austin Powers. That's just hilarious. I love it.
