Now that I am back from my work trip to California, I am looking forward to my vacation in Italy next week with Dr. P and Future Dr. H. We are going to Rome and Florence. In Rome, I am fairly sure that I can easily convince Dr. P and Future Dr. H that a visit to the Museo Storico Nazionale dell'Arte Sanitaria (the National Historic Museum of the Art of Medicine). Other wacky sites that I hope to get in: the National Museum of Pasta Foods (near the Trevi Fountain), the National Museum of Nativity Scenes, and the Small Museum of the Souls in Purgatory. Of course, I also hope to see as many relics as possible, in addition to fabulous art.
I think that Florence is one of those places where I can be content to see amazing Renaissance art and eat a lot of gelato, but not seek out any oddities. I'm not even sure that there are weird things there. I'll have to look into it further.
We only have about 6 days in total, and there's never enough time for everything. Sigh.

Six days in la Città Eterna, huh? Man...I'm jealous! Though it's a short time, it's still Rome! Have fun and bring me back a souviner!
