I finished the manuscript for Off the Beaten (Subway) Track! Hooray! It is all very exciting. My agent is going to take a look at it, then it goes off to the publisher next week.
I think I am going to celebrate by buying a new pair of black tights this afternoon. My previous pair developed a large hole in the toe. If I go totally crazy, I may even also pick up a three pack of Jockey bikini underwear to replace some of my older undies with the elastic hanging out of the waistband.
Man, I sure know how to live it up.

congratulations!
ReplyDeletei'm gonna be in nyc at the end of february for a brief moment (maybe only an afternoon before i catch my flight to heathrow). perhaps there's one of your sites i should see? or maybe i should do one of the biggies, having never been.
If only someone worked in a store where they sell eccentric travel guides (and other fancy pannts travel crap), she could put in a good word or two when the book comes out...
ReplyDeleteu know, i was afraid this would happen- you 're spending all this money on yourself before the book even comes out! you've already changed, are you too good to sew the hole in your tights? HAHA!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you, and can't wait to get my copy! You deserve more than tights and underwear!
yeah, congrats!!! very exciting. i'm talking about the new socks, ha ha.
ReplyDeleteDude, I didn't buy new socks! That would be totally crazy.
ReplyDeleteAnd Mar and Dangerdoll, I hope you can squeeze me into your itineraries while you are here. Lunch is on me. I know a great place to go....
Way to go, Suzanne! Why not splurge and get two pairs of tights?
ReplyDeleteI am beyond proud of you - you tights-buying party animal!
ReplyDeleteI totally did buy two pairs! They were one for $11 or two for $17.50. Plus I had a 20% off coupon, so I feel I did OK. Sadly, I was too cheap to buy the knee socks that were $7.00, although they would also have been 20% off with my coupon. I think I need to pen a bestseller in order to feel that I can buy such luxuries.
ReplyDeleteI've been living under a rock and just saw this right now! Congratulations! How exciting for you :)
