Good things are percolating. Hopefully I'll have some good news on Thursday afternoon.
On a related note, if you were wanted to buy a book about unusual things to see and do in your hometown, what types of places can you think of that would stock such a fine item other than bookstores? Just curious...

coffee shop
ReplyDeleteOr maybe the Visitor's Bureau?
ReplyDeleteI know you already said bookstores, but college bookstores tend to have books like that.
ReplyDeleteSouvenir shop, maybe? Size-large gas station/truck stop?
ReplyDeleteCute boutique stores (think back to Chicago...revived Lincoln Square...Urban General Store, Eclecticity)
ReplyDeleteI thought I commented on this.
ReplyDeleteMan on the street. And I like the boutique idea.
Here in the Boston area, independent coffeehouses and small, funky shops and cafes--esp. if featured--would be a good match for a book like that. Also, some of our farmer's markets have artists booths where they sell eclectic jewelry, handbags, aprons, quilts, paintings, etc. If you have any friends who do something similar at farmer's markets in NYC, maybe they would be willing to pimp your book?
ReplyDeleteRent a kiosk with Tycho mounted on the top of it (not the roof, but the counter or whatever you call it), and strategically place copies of the book around his cute little furry body. His size will attract the curious, who will be simultaneously attracted to the book.
ReplyDeleteMom, you are hilarious.
